Saturday, April 11, 2015. The wedding ceremony will commence at 5:30 p.m. followed by a reception dinner and dance party.
The ceremony and reception will be held in the beautiful gardens at The Franklin House, in the heart of Tucson’s El Presidio Historic Neighborhood.
Built in 1898 by one of Arizona’s most distinguished territorial families, this lovely historic home in El Presidio, Tucson’s oldest neighborhood, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the past century, the Franklin House has become a site of social gatherings and celebrations. The present owners, Christopher Franklin Carroll and his wife Susan Hardy Aiken, have sought to restore, preserve, and maintain the house in this same spirit. A tranquil space surrounded by high hedges of oleander and Carolina jasmine, the rolling lawns and gardens offer a magical outdoor setting for our special day.
The Franklin House is located at 402 N. Main Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701. There is plenty of off street parking along Main and Franklin streets and it’s free on weekends.
For our out of town guests, you can fly into the Tucson International Airport (airport code TUS).
Tucson spring weather is typically sunny and beautiful but can range between low 70’s to upper 80’s during the day with temps dropping when the sun goes down to low 50’s (this year on April 11th the high was 92 and the low was 64). Our ceremony and reception will be outside in the beautiful gardens, so please bring a sweater or jacket in case it’s chilly in the evening!
